What should I bring?
Just yourself! We provide mats, all your props, towels, and water.

What should I wear?
Wear clothing you’re comfortable moving in, and that doesn’t restrict your movement. All classes are done in bare feet or socks (we prefer grippy socks).

Should I eat before class?
While everyone’s metabolism is different, we strongly suggested avoiding having a heavy meal right before working out. Most of our clients tell us they have a light snack 1-2 hours before class.

The following classes require pre-registration and run in six week sessions, but you’re welcome to join anytime! Click the link below to find out when the next session starts and to sign-up.

The studio is BEAUTIFUL – clean and fresh. Anna is a fantastic instructor – her classes are a true pleasure to attend – always dynamic, fun and they fly by. I often find it difficult to do any sort of exercise after a long workday, however I always ALWAYS look forward to attending Anna’s classes as I feel like they negate all the harmful effects an office job does to my body. So happy I found this gem in the heart of Leaside!! ~L.S.

I just want to let you know how happy I am about the improvements I’ve felt since joining NORTH.  My arthritis has progressively impacted my ability to participate in physical activity. Since starting on a regular Pilates schedule at NORTH I feel that my pain level has decreased by about 50% – this is quite remarkable given that all the other recommended exercises (physiotherapy, yoga, weight training) and even knee injections had little impact on my pain. I also feel that overall my strength has improved significantly so that daily tasks are easier to manage. It goes without saying that I actually look forward to exercising now and it doesn’t feel like a burden or chore. Thank you Anna for being such a great instructor and for all your individual attention that you give your clients (and your great sense of humour!). ~V.R.

I can’t say enough about how great the workouts are at North! The focus on movement quality makes North a truly standout studio! ~B.S.

The best thing about North Movement Studio is Anna Harris.
She is a skilled Pilates teacher who is dynamic, knowledgeable, caring and a ton of fun to be around. Anna makes everyone feel important and valued. She allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced and will adapt to her clients specific goals and/or limitations.  It’s  been almost a year since she opened her dream studio – a combination of high tech equipment, calming environment and a fantastic team. She has changed the way I feel about myself and how I approach fitness and health. Anna thank you for inspiring me every week! ~M.F.
